Immortal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #2)Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Lords of Deliverance series, and this one is all about the horsewoman Famine. This is a great follow up to the first book filled with all the angst and mayhem that you've come to expect from the first book. This is the apocalypse coming to fruition, it's gritty, scary, and just plain bloody. The connection between the two main characters happened a little fast for me, but if you know some back story on Famine it does begin to make sense later on, plus her love interest ends up in hell being tortured for a month maybe this is considered courting for a horsewoman of the apocalypse.
You find out so much more information about the people that are in and out of the story lines, the 4 horsemen, and more of the myth and legends surrounding their seals that if broken lead to hell on earth. This was an intense read faced paced and action packed, with a very hot and steamy romance to add to this wonderful mix that makes up this series. I enjoyed the humor I started noticing inner woven in with the story lines even at the worst of times sarcasm is a nice stress relief. It made these characters more believable to have them trying to lighten the mood in the face of all this doom and gloom. If you haven't read this series or this author I recommend you do its a great read and very well written.

  1. Super review Nawnee, or should I say reviews:) I don't know how I missed this series. I like books with characters that are noticeably unique. A horsewoman of the apocalypse, that alone captures my interest. Thanks for steering me towards this series.

    1. I'm glad you liked the review and I'm surprised I missed this author all together until I saw a funny quote from one of her Immortal Riders books and had to figure out what context it was written in. I got hooked and read both of the first two books in a day and a half I can't wait for the third book to come out.
